POSB369 Development of the Patient-Reported Impact of Dermatological Diseases (PRIDD) Measure

Dermatological conditions are the fourth most common health condition worldwide and carry a physical, psychological social burden for patients. The existing metrics in dermatology (e.g. patient-reported outcome measures [PROMs]) arguably underestimate breadth of impact dermatological on patients’ lives. Global Research Impact Diseases (GRIDD) project is developing new measure (Patient-Reported - PRIDD) to better understand true impact. GRIDD first global patient-initiated -led research study dermatology. This mixed methods meets gold-standard COSMIN (consensus-based standards selection measurement instruments) criteria. Adults (≥18-years) with were recruited through International Alliance Dermatology Patient Organizations’ membership network. First, systematic review evaluated dermatology-specific (used across conditions) PROMs. Next, qualitative interview developed conceptual framework Subsequently, Delphi elicited consensus items prioritise inclusion PRIDD. Currently, cognitive evaluating content validity, acceptability feasibility final stage will be psychometric testing. found that none 36 identified PROMs met criteria recommended use.
